The Hamilton, Ohio City
of Sculpture seeks proposals for a national juried 12 month
outdoor public art exhibition for the central district of
Hamilton, Ohio. This competition is open to all artists living
in the United States who can deliver their own free standing,
quality sculpture. The selected works may be either large scale
(to be placed near a river walkway on grass) or smaller scale
(to be placed in an urban downtown area) and must be low
maintenance, professional quality, durable, and
weather-resistant. Juror Susan Ewing, distinguished professor of
art at Miami University and world class sculptor will select the
pieces for display from materials submitted, and select the
$10,000 purchase prize winner once the works are installed.
The selected works will
be on display June 2009 through – May 2010.
The
application including $25 fee and five to ten images in
digital jpeg on CD; no more then 1MB per image of proposed work
and past work are due April 1, 2009.
